WARREN SMITH
“Any gun will do—If you will do!”
Warren started his training career in the United States Marine Corps. He was assigned for two years in the Enlisted Instructor Company at Quantico, Virginia. That section taught 2nd Lieutenants weapons and tactics. He then went to Vietnam and served in country for 13 months. After being discharged in 1969, he was accepted into the Tennessee Highway Patrol Recruit academy. He graduated the academy in September 1971. His last duty assignment with THP was the Training Division. He trained recruits as well as conducting in-service training for all Troopers state wide. After retiring from the Highway Patrol he worked for Bank of America as a Senior Vice President in Corporate Security with National responsibility. He loves to teach and continue to make lasting friendships with his students. Warren is married and has two daughters and one son with seven grandchildren. All live in middle Tennessee.
